Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
DealScope is operated by D B Properties & Investments Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. For questions about this policy, contact us at info@dbpropertiesinvestments.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
Account details. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. If you sign in with an email link we receive only your email address. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Deals you save. The property figures and analysis you enter, stored against your account so you can return to them. If you are not signed in, saved deals stay in your own browser and never reach our servers.
Usage analytics. Page views and feature usage, to understand how the platform is used. A basic page-view count (page visited, and a same-day-only hash of your IP address and browser so we don't double-count a single visit) is recorded regardless of your cookie choice below, since it sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. If you were sent a link with a ?ref=tag on it (for example during a private preview), that tag is stored in your browser and recorded against your visits too, so we know that link's recipient is using the product — nothing more is inferred about you from it.
Error diagnostics. When something goes wrong we capture the error along with a recording of that browsing session, so the fault can be reproduced and fixed. Recordings are only made when an error occurs, never routinely.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used to provide the DealScope service, improve our platform, and communicate important updates. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data storage & security
Your account and saved deals are stored in a database hosted in London (UK). We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your information.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following providers to run the service, each acting on our instructions:
- Google — sign-in, if you choose it
- Neon — database hosting (London, UK)
- Vercel — application hosting
- Resend — sending sign-in links and notification emails
- Sentry — error monitoring and session recordings on error
- PostHog — usage analytics
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens it is covered by the safeguards required under UK GDPR.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to how we use it. Email us at info@dbpropertiesinvestments.co.uk and we will action it. You can also delete your saved deals yourself at any time from My Deals. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Cookies
We use two kinds of cookie, and you control the second.
- Essential. These keep you signed in and keep the site secure. The service cannot work without them, so they are always active and do not require your consent.
- Analytics. These tell us which features are used, so we know what to improve. They are only set if you agree, and nothing is collected before you choose. (The basic page-view count described in Section 2 is separate from this and uses no cookie, so it is not affected by your choice here.)
We use no advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites. You can change your choice whenever you like using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
